What's New

November 28, 2009 - Calling all potential board members:

We have several board members leaving their positions after this year and we need your help. You cannot make a bigger impact on your child's education with such a minimal time commitment anywhere. The foundation does more for the school with less work than any organization. We only organize two fundraisers. We meet once a month in the evening so it is perfect for working parents. We meet the first Monday of every month at 6:30 in the teacher's lounge. Email Mike Fillat with any questions, otldoc@gmail.com, or just come to a meeting.

October 2, 2009 - The monthly board meeting is on Monday, October 5 at 6:30 pm at Sundance. All are welcome.

Sept. 16, 2009 - KPBS recently reported on how foundations are filling the budget gap in San Diego County and how some schools without Foundations must do without basic needs.  About the Foundation

The Twin Trails Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operating with the sole purpose of providing supplemental financial support to Sundance Elementary School in Rancho Penasquitos, San Diego, California.

The Foundation was established in May 2004 by a group of Sundance parents and staff committed to enhancing the education and development of students at the school in a variety of ways.  These include introducing and upgrading computer systems on the school campus and supporting supplemental programs in the fine arts, performing arts, music, foreign languages, health and physical education, and providing additional supplies and materials for classroom instruction.
